  • About the Band

Mitch Gordon and the Unleaded Band are from the middle of Minnesota. The band plays a tasteful Country set list and brews it with their original tunes. Playing tunes from the great Country kickers such as: Hank Williams Jr., Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and Alabama to today’s powerful artists such as: Jason Aldean, Dustin Lynch, Luke Bryan, and Blake Shelton. With some great talent, maturity, and excitement on stage, the band provides a solid Country sound. Mitch Gordon says, “The original material is based on a lot of different and real life activities that run through our small town minds.” Mitch Gordon and the Unleaded Band hope to see you soon at their next performance.

  • Mitch Gordon

(Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar) Growing up in a musical family, Mitch’s taste for country music was high on his mind. From singing tunes “Little Bitty” and “Hey Good Looking” when he was a lad, 'til today where he has a performed with some great musicians and friends along the way. Mitch started his own act called “The Unleaded Band” when he was 16. At that age, booking shows in music venues that were 21+ was not easy. Mitch takes the stage alongside his older brother (aka “Chubs”), the guy that was one of his influences to start playing. Mitch and his brother write most of the original tunes for the band. Mitch says, “The writing is based on a lot of different and real life activities that run through our small town minds.” Though he is still young he looks to keep diggin’ and make his way through the mud to proceed to great opportunities in the future.

  • Jeremy Schreifels

(Drums) Jeremy comes to the stage from a classical background. Performing in symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles, and theatre productions has shaped his unique sound and approach to the drums. Since playing with such bands as The Sweet Papa Dave Band, The Greg Michael’s Band, The Unleaded Band, Outside Recess and his own project Mad Purple, Jeremy has found a new and inspiring performance venue! Jeremy says, “Since leaving the symphonic stage, I have continued my approach to the drums in the same manner a conductor directs an orchestra; I lead the band musically where it needs to go.” He is ecstatic about sharing the stage with Ben and Mitch, but also with Adam (a former student of his!). “Always great to share the stage with a talent that you helped to shape and mold!” Jeremy hopes to bring to the stage some of his favorite influences; the energy of Rich Redmond, the precision of Neil Peart, and the groove of Steve Gadd.

  • Adam Munson

(Lead Guitar) Adam is the youngest member of the band, but what he lacks in age, he makes up for in passion for music. He started playing guitar when he was 11 and has rarely been seen without one since. Although his major influences are classic rock and blues acts of the 70s and earlier, he is willing to give anything with a guitar a shot.

  • Ben Elsenpeter

(Bass Guitar and Harmonica) Growing up in central Minnesota's farm country, Ben's roots fall back to country music. Ben has played many styles of music along his path which includes Wright County's own Michael James pounding out the Polkas on the Concertina, and the late Tony Ellestad's band Smoke & Gin. Country acts include Silverado, The Greg Michael's Band, and Armadillo Flats with Mark "The Teleslinger" Heurkins (formerly with Whiskey River Band of the 80's). In 2008 Ben formed the rock and roll cover band Outside Recess with great success, only to return to his roots. Ben has shared the stage with Craig Campbell, Emerson Drive, Trent Willmon, as well as great local players. Along with past and present song writing with Mitch (who knows Ben as "Chubs"), Ben was promised homemade cookies as an added percentage of his pay to join the project. He calls it "The best deal of my music career".
